01Overview

Tube-Tech Complete Collection 2 gathers Softube's officially licensed Tube-Tech effects in one package. It adds the SMC 2B Multiband Compressor, a new three-band opto-style compressor, and updates the CL 1B and Classic Channel with Mk II versions. The collection also includes the PE 1C and ME 1B passive tube-driven equalizers, presented as Equalizers Mk II. Softube developed the plugins in partnership with Tube-Tech, and legacy versions of several earlier products are included.

Sound, Control and Stereo Processing

The CL 1B Mk II includes the legacy CL 1B compressor alongside a reworked version built on newer signal processing. A Generation Switch moves between the two CL 1B sounds inside the CL 1B Mk II and Classic Channel Mk II plugins.

Mid/side processing appears in Classic Channel Mk II, which lets you process the center and sides differently. The CL 1B adds side-chain low-cut filters and parallel blend. The SMC 2B offers linked stereo or selectable Dual Mono operation.

Who the Collection Suits and What You Need to Run It

The collection targets producers and engineers who work on drums, vocals, bass, synths and mix or mastering buses. The Equalizers Mk II and CL 1B Mk II also run inside Console 1 as well as in native plugin hosts.

Softube's system requirements list macOS Big Sur 11 or later and Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), an iLok account, a Softube account, and an AU, VST, VST3 or AAX compatible DAW. Softube recommends VST3 because some features are not available in the older VST format.
