Tube-Tech Complete Collection 2 brings together Softube's Tube-Tech plugins in a single bundle. It includes the SMC 2B Multiband Compressor, updated CL 1B Mk II and Classic Channel Mk II units, and the Tube-Tech Equalizers Mk II. Softube developed the collection in partnership with Tube-Tech, and it is also offered as an upgrade for existing owners of Tube-Tech Equalizers MK II.

Compressors and Equalizers in the Tube-Tech Sound

The collection centers on compression and equalization. SMC 2B is described as an emulation of a three-band opto compressor, aimed at dynamic processing on mix buses and vocal, drum and bass buses. CL 1B Mk II includes the original CL 1B compressor alongside a reworked version, and a Generation Switch lets you move between the two sounds.

The Equalizers Mk II combine the PE 1C and ME 1B Pultec-style passive equalizers, with the legacy versions also included. Softube says these are suited to tone shaping on drums, synths, vocals, guitars, strings and bass.

Workflow Features and Stereo Control

Several updates add modern workflow options. CL 1B Mk II offers mid/side processing, side-chain low-cut filtering and parallel blend. Classic Channel Mk II also adds mid/side processing, which allows separate treatment of the center and sides. SMC 2B offers linked or selectable Dual Mono stereo operation.

CL 1B Mk II and the Equalizers Mk II also run inside Console 1 as well as in standard plugin hosts.
