Tube-Tech Complete Collection 2: Softube Channel Strip Plugin Bundle

The bundle centers on the CL 1B optical compressor, available as CL 1B Mk II with a Generation Switch that moves between the Mk I and Mk II sound. Mk II adds parallel blend and side-chain low-cut filtering. The new SMC 2B is an emulation of a three-band opto compressor with dual mono or linked stereo operation.

The Classic Channel Mk II combines both generations of the CL 1B with PE 1C and ME 1B tube-driven passive equalizers. Mid/side processing is available in the channel plug-in, which allows separate treatment of the mid and side signal for stereo image control.

The Equalizers Mk II are Pultec-style passive equalizers. Softube describes them as suited to analog tone shaping on drums, synths, vocals, guitars, strings and bass.

Tube-Tech Complete Collection 2 runs as VST3, VST2, AU, AAX and RTAS plugins on Windows 10 and 11 and macOS Big Sur, Monterey and Ventura. It is 64-bit and requires a Softube account and an iLok account for licensing.

Softube officially tests the plug-ins in the latest versions of Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Cubase, Ableton Live, Studio One and Reaper. The developer recommends VST3 because some features are not available in the older VST format. CL 1B Mk II and Equalizers Mk II also work in Console 1.

The collection includes four legacy products: CL 1B Mk I, Classic Channel Mk I, PE 1C and ME 1B. Softube notes that some legacy products may be unsupported.
