Tube-Tech Complete Collection 2 gathers Softube's officially licensed Tube-Tech plugins into one bundle. It adds the SMC 2B Multiband Compressor and updates the CL 1B Mk II, Classic Channel Mk II and Tube-Tech Equalizers Mk II. Softube says the collection was created in partnership with Tube-Tech, and the set also includes four legacy plugins for projects built on earlier versions.

Compression and EQ tools in the Tube-Tech collection

The SMC 2B Multiband Compressor is an emulation of a three-band opto compressor and is the newest addition to the set. Softube describes it as suited to dynamic processing, mix buses, and vocal, drum, and bass buses.

The CL 1B Mk II is an optical compressor with a Generation Switch that moves between the sound of the Mk I and Mk II versions. It adds side-chain low-cut filters and parallel blend. The Tube-Tech Equalizers Mk II include the PE 1C and ME 1B, which are tube-driven passive Pultec-style equalizers.

Stereo processing and the Classic Channel Mk II

The Classic Channel Mk II combines both generations of the CL 1B with the PE 1C and ME 1B equalizers in one plugin. Mid/side processing lets you treat the center and sides of a stereo signal separately, for example compressing and EQing a kick and snare differently from overheads.

The Generation Switch makes it possible to compare CL 1B Mk I and Mk II within the same channel strip.
