Tube-Tech Complete Collection 2 gathers Softube's licensed Tube-Tech plugins in one package. It adds the new SMC 2B Multiband Compressor, updated versions of the CL 1B optical compressor and Classic Channel, and the Equalizers Mk II. The Classic Channel and CL 1B include a Generation Switch that moves between the sound of the original and Mk II versions. The collection also includes four legacy products so existing projects can still open after an upgrade. Softube describes the bundle as an upgrade path for existing owners of Tube-Tech Blue Tone.

Compressors and Equalizers in the Tube-Tech Collection

The SMC 2B is described as an emulation of a three-band opto compressor, with options for linked or Dual Mono stereo processing. The CL 1B Mk II includes the original CL 1B alongside a remodeled version, with a side-chain low-cut filter and parallel blend. The Classic Channel Mk II combines both CL 1B generations with the PE 1C and ME 1B passive tube equalizers, plus mid/side processing.

The Equalizers Mk II are Pultec-style tone shapers that Softube positions for adding character to drums, synths, vocals, guitars, strings and bass.

Workflow, Compatibility and Console 1

The Generation Switch lets you compare the two CL 1B versions without loading separate instances. Mid/side processing in Classic Channel allows separate treatment of the center and sides of a stereo signal.

CL 1B Mk II and Equalizers Mk II also work in Console 1, Softube's hardware controller ecosystem, as well as in the plugin format. The collection runs as VST3, VST2, AU and AAX on macOS and Windows, and Softube recommends VST3 for full feature access.
