Filters, Bands and the Meta Filter

The plugin pairs a set of high-pass and low-pass filters with a low-frequency mono section, which lets you control the bandwidth of the signal. Each of the HP and LP filters offers four slopes that the developer describes as musical.

Six full parametric EQ bands cover overtone, timbre and the stereo image. A Meta Filter gives direct control over brightness, hardness or equal loudness contours, so you can shape the overall character of a mix without working band by band.

All filters except HP and LP run in a parallel EQ structure. The EQ bands include nonlinearities inspired by inductor EQ technology.

Smart Actions and Loudness Compensation

Smart actions can match the input spectrum against a pink-noise distribution or a custom reference. Another option sets the HP and LP filters automatically based on the signal's audible bandwidth.

The auto gain control compensates for loudness changes while you adjust the EQ, which helps you judge changes fairly when comparing settings.

An expandable EQ display includes a realtime spectrum analyzer, along with an undo/redo toolbar, A/B comparison and preset management.
