01Overview

Subtle World is a sample-based instrument for Kontakt that focuses on field recordings, textures, pads, rhythmic elements, noises, loops and pulsing sounds. Loot Audio positions it for film and game scoring, ambient, IDM, chillout, techno, dub and sound design. The instrument includes 58 NKI instruments and 16 multis, and its samples are long and ever-evolving, so each patch keeps moving while you hold a note. Subtle World requires the full version of Kontakt 5.5.2 or later.

Sound Character and Morphing Controls

Subtle World is built for subtle sounds and pulsing atmospheres, though the developer notes it can also produce big, gritty and distorted results. Every patch morphs through four pre-assigned MIDI CC knobs and the Mod Wheel. These controls cover low-pass and high-pass filters, distortion and custom LFOs, so you can shift a sound from light crackles to large distorted drones without leaving your MIDI keyboard.

Loot Audio says all effects sync to your host tempo, which keeps the pulsing elements locked to your project. The included instruction sheet explains how to set up the MIDI controls, and it is worth reading before you start.

Contents, Format and Requirements
