01Overview

The Sonuscore Lyrical Bundle combines three phrase-based solo instruments from the Lyrical series: cello, violin and vocal. Each instrument is built around pressing a key to trigger a complete musical phrase rather than sustained single notes, so melodies can be sketched quickly with a live-sounding performance character. The bundle is aimed at composers working on cinematic and creative scoring who want solo instruments with emotional expression. It runs inside Kontakt on Windows and macOS.

Lyrical Cello and Violin Phrases for Cinematic Melodies

Lyrical Cello Phrases is built to bring the emotional weight of a solo cello into a composition, with 70+ freely combinable phrases, 10+ themes throughout all keys and 2 bonus themes. It also includes a legato instrument for connected lines.

Lyrical Violin Phrases is the third instalment in Sonuscore's Lyrical series and offers 310 different phrases across 19 themes. The developer describes it as covering melodic passages, ethnic phrases, double-strings, trills and sul ponticello techniques. Key, speed, length, succession and connection of phrases can be adjusted.

Lyrical Vocal Phrases for Soundtrack Work

Lyrical Vocal Phrases, by Conny Kollet, is a solo vocal instrument with 300 different phrases and 17 themes. Each key press triggers a vocal phrase instead of a sustained note, which the developer presents as a way to avoid the mechanical sound of traditional vocal sustains.

The phrases are designed for quick use in cinematic soundtracks, where a single key can add a melodic vocal line to a cue.

05FAQ

Questions, answered

What do I need to use Sonuscore Lyrical Bundle?

You need the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt, version 5.8.1 or higher. The free Kontakt player is not sufficient because it only runs the instruments in demo mode.
