Vocal Phrases and Languages for Soundtrack Writing

The library includes 300 phrases spread across 17 themes. Sonuscore says the themes cover Elvish, Ethnic, Medieval and Witch styles, which are self-created fantasy languages, along with Latin, Italian, and themes sung only on vowels.

Each theme contains five phrases, and each phrase is split into a starting, middle and end section. You can chain these parts in any order to build longer lines that fit your track.

The phrases were recorded in four different keys, so pitch is never shifted more than a semitone up or down. The developer notes that vocal recordings are especially sensitive to pitch-shifting, which is why this approach was chosen.

Lyrical Vocal Phrases runs only in the full version of Native Instruments' Kontakt. The free Kontakt player runs the instrument in demo mode only. Kontakt 5.8.1 or higher is required, and the developer lists Steinberg's free HALion Sonic as an alternative host.
