Sound Shaping and Tone Controls

Selene gives you several ways to shape the reverb tail. The Diffusion knob moves the texture between sparse and plate-like, and the Vintage knob adds a classic reverb character. A Drive knob adds saturation to the signal.

The Damping EQ is an 8-band equalizer that lets you control how high frequencies decay over time. Visual low-shelf and high-shelf post-EQ controls handle the final tone of the wet signal.

For movement and texture, the Shimmer effect offers four modes. Freeze holds the current reverb tail indefinitely, which is useful for building drones and sustained pads from a short input.

Mixing, Routing and Processing

Selene includes an internal Duck and Gate option, which helps keep the reverb from washing over the dry signal when the input is loud or dense. This is one of the features Auburn Sounds highlights for keeping the effect easy to place in a mix.

The Mix section is described as extensive. Processing runs at 64-bit double precision, and the signal path uses full 2x oversampling to reduce aliasing in the processed signal.
