Sampling Workflow and Sound Shaping
Sampler One is built around fast sample import. You drag a WAV, AIF or NCW file onto the interface, and the instrument detects the root key and pitch automatically. Start, end and loop points are edited visually on the waveform.
From there, the sound is shaped with a low-pass and high-pass filter using a 12dB ladder design, an LFO that can target filter, pitch or pan, and either ADSR or Hold envelopes. Random sample start is available in forward playback, and reverse playback and key tracking can be switched on as needed.
The developer describes the instrument as bringing a more advanced tempo sync approach to a vintage sampler concept. The TM Pro playback mode adds formant shift and speed controls for time-stretching.
