01Overview

Revelation Fusion Harp is the second instrument in Sound Yeti's Revelation series of hybrid synths. The core is a multi-sampled orchestral pedal harp with four articulations, each captured with three microphone perspectives. Three additional layer channels can be filled with sounds from a browser of 50 sampled instruments, so you can blend the harp with pads, keys and textures or use it solo for an acoustic sound. The instrument is built for scoring and sound design that combines acoustic and synthetic character.

Harp Sound and Layer Design

The harp foundation uses four pedal harp articulations, each recorded with near, mid and far mic positions. Tone and sensitivity controls shape the performance dynamics across the articulations.

Each of the three layer channels has its own ADSR envelope, four-band graphic EQ and full-featured LFO with tempo sync, waveform selection and a visual display. Each stereo layer also has access to a custom reverb with 24 impulse response environments and a set of 58 delay presets, managed by Sound Yeti's Preset Recall System for the effects.

Arpeggiator and Performance Modes

The 16-step dual-mode arpeggiator is built around the Layers button. With Layers off, only the harp is arpeggiated while the layers play their programmed sounds as a static backdrop. With Layers on, the layer sounds join the arpeggiated sequence.

Step velocity is editable by dragging the step bars, and the arpeggiator includes gate, latch and octave range controls (-3 to +3) along with 10 pattern settings. Probability and chance controls add variation to the performance.
