Rabbit Tape V2 Upgrade from V1: Tape Emulation Plugin by Safari Audio

The core of Rabbit Tape V2 is its modulation and degradation controls. Wow and Flutter add pitch movement, Grit and Drop Outs add surface texture and momentary signal loss, and Tape Noise adds the hiss associated with tape. Speed character controls shape how these elements behave.

The custom Filter and Width controls let you shape the tonal balance and stereo image of the effect. Together with the machine and speed choices, they give you a range from subtle warmth to heavily degraded textures.

Choosing between the America and Germany machines sets the basic tape voicing, while the 7.5 or 15 IPS speed selection changes the response of the tape path. Vintage VU meters show the level as you work.

Smart Gain and Link Gain are included to help match levels when you compare the processed and unprocessed signal, and the A/B compare function makes that comparison quick. The short-term LUFS readout gives a loudness reference during processing.
