Sound Character and Synthesis Architecture

Polymode precisely recreates the paraphonic architecture of the original instrument. Both oscillator ranks can run saw and pulse waves at the same time, which widens the available timbres before any filtering.

The filter section includes "mode" filters that Cherry Audio describes as super accurately recreated, alongside a classic 24 dB ladder-style filter. The resonators section adds an extra LFO, 12 dB and 24 dB slopes, and a notch mode, so you can shape the sound in several directions.

Modulation is a central part of the design. Sources include velocity, pressure, white and pink noise, and more, with routings available for almost all synthesis parameters.

Effects, Control and Automation

The built-in effects are an ensemble, a phaser, a tempo-synced echo and a reverb. A classic Solina-style tri-chorus mode is also included for string-type sounds.

Two bonus LFOs offer five waveforms each, with tempo sync. Full MIDI control and full DAW automation for all controls let you record movement into your arrangement.
