Sound Character and Filter Behavior
The Polivoks was designed to resemble the Minimoog, but the developer says its designer never had access to that instrument or its technical documentation. Loot Audio describes the Polivoks as a different design on a technical level, with looping envelopes, a duophonic note assigner and a distinctive filter.
That filter offers low-pass and band-pass modes. Loot Audio says it can be wild at times but can also produce very pleasing tones when handled with care. The Solo Synth Engine keeps the sonic character of the original while letting you work across a broad palette of tones and textures.
