Tar and Chonguri: Sound and Character
The Tar is played with a plectrum on steel strings, which gives it a pure and defined tone. The Chonguri uses silk strings and contributes a softer, warmer character. Sonuscore says the two combine to create a broad range of timbres, from percussive plucks to ambient textures.
Each instrument can be played on its own or layered with the other, so you can shift between a bright, articulate voice and a rounder, more sustained one within the same patch.
