Murda Melodies is an effects plugin built around eight interactive knobs, each covering a different kind of processing, including modulation, reverb, synced delays and reverses. The knobs interact with one another, so turning one can change how the others respond. The plugin also includes a pitch shifter that spans four octaves, and a Pitch Jitter control that adds nonlinear, crunchy artifacts. It ships with more than 50 presets made by Murda and Slate sound designers, and it is available in VST3, VST2, AU and AAX formats for Windows and macOS.
The built-in pitch shifter covers four octaves, so you can push a track's pitch far up or down. Pitch Jitter adds nonlinear artifacts, which Slate Digital positions for lofi and experimental material.
A balance control sets the mix between the original and processed pitch. This lets you keep the core of the sound while adding shifted content on top, or move fully to the processed signal.
The eight effect knobs are the main way to shape the plugin. Because each knob interacts with the others, small moves can produce large changes in texture, and the result can be hard to predict at first.
The library includes more than 50 presets made by Murda and Slate sound designers. They give you a starting point, and you can then adjust the knobs to build your own version of a sound.
