01Overview

Storch Filter combines a filter with five built-in effects: reverb, chorus, saturation, a stereo spreader and a phaser. Each effect is tied to the cutoff and resonance controls, so the effect becomes more pronounced as you move the filter. An FX Boost slider adds further tonal coloring. The plugin was developed in collaboration with Scott Storch, who also designed its included presets.

Filter-Linked Effects and Tonal Coloring

The five effect modules respond to the cutoff and resonance knobs, so adjusting the filter also shapes how the selected effect sounds. Raising resonance or changing cutoff can bring the reverb, chorus, saturation, stereo spreader or phaser forward in the mix.

The FX Boost slider pushes the tone further for bolder color. It works as an additional control on top of the filter-linked behavior, giving you a quick way to add character without rebuilding your chain.

Autofilter for Pulsing and Polyrhythmic Grooves

An on-board autofilter lets you warp the filtered signal further. You can choose from six wave shapes and adjust rate, depth and phase to dial in the movement you want.

Developer Slate Digital describes the range as anything from a subtle pulse to a pumping groove or polyrhythmic effects. Those settings make the plugin useful for rhythmic textures and unique grooves in electronic and pop production.
