01Overview

MUnison analyzes incoming audio, detects its pitch when needed, and generates additional voices. These voices can sit close to the original pitch for a realistic unison or double-tracking effect, follow the scale you select to build harmonies, or move far from the source to create a larger ensemble. Modulation sources include an LFO, an audio level follower, an envelope generator, a randomizer and a pitch detector, so the layered sound can keep changing over time.

Unison, Harmony and Ensemble Voicing

MUnison covers three main jobs. For subtle thickening, its voices stay near the original pitch and drift slightly around it, producing a natural unison effect. For harmonies, the voices follow the scale you choose, which the developer notes can also work in live performance. For more dramatic textures, the voices can be pushed into very different territory to build a large virtual choir or orchestra.

The plugin supports M/S, single-channel and surround processing of up to 8 channels, so it can be placed on stereo tracks as well as in multichannel setups.

Modulation and Control Features

MUnison includes four modulators and four multiparameters, and any parameter can be modulated from the available sources. Adjustable oscillator shape technology and smart randomization give further ways to shape the result. MIDI controllers with MIDI learn let you map parameters to hardware.

The interface is stylable, resizable and GPU accelerated, with a visualization engine that shows classic meters and time graphs. Automatic gain compensation and a safety limiter help manage output level.
