Multiphonics CV-3 Upgrade from CV-1 or CV-2: Modular Synth and Effects Plugin

The core of Multiphonics is a large set of modules covering generators, filters, shapers, signal processors, mixers, VCAs, clocks and sequencers, CV generators, maths and logic, and visualizers. Modules can be dragged and dropped freely, duplicated with or without their connections, and patched with multiple connections in one click.

CV-3 adds new physical modeling oscillators and FM oscillators alongside polyphony. The integrated module and patch browser lets you find modules and patches without leaving the plugin, and an on-screen keyboard lets you preview patches without a MIDI controller.

For patching, the CV quick-connect feature speeds up routing between CV outputs and inputs. Delay and LFO can sync easily to the host's tempo, which helps when building rhythmic modulation.

CV-3 is MPE compatible and provides direct access to MIDI control and expression signals, along with macro modules for combining controls. The synth version includes chorus, distortion, reverb and delay in its effect rack, and the plugin also works as a modular effects processor for audio.

The developer describes the environment as suitable for both experienced users and newcomers to sound synthesis. An in-depth online manual and a series of tutorials are included for learning the modules.
