Sound Sources and Layering
Mosaic Bass draws on 110 different sources containing 1,094 samples. These are grouped into 35 synths, 10 subs, 35 drones, 10 noise layers and 20 attack layers. Each source can be combined across the Mosaic Engine's three channels, which is how the instrument builds its low-end textures.
The synth bass and attack layers are the core of the sound, with noise layers adding grit and movement. Because every element is designed to be layered, the same source can produce very different results depending on what it is paired with.
