Source Hardware and Sample Library
The samples were captured from a Hybrid Technology MUSIC 5000 synth module controlled by a 1983 Acorn BBC Micro Model B running the AMPLE music programming language. Recording was done at 24-bit resolution through an RME Fireface, routed via a 1969 Fairchild Model 662 germanium pre-amp and a Model 664 transformer-coupled passive EQ.
The library contains 595 samples, which the developer presents as the basis for its 100 example instruments and 25 layered multis. MIDI control of the module was handled by Hideaway Studio's M5KMIDI interface, a custom MUSIC 5000 MIDI interface for the BBC Micro.
