The voice banks are based on a human voice recorded in a studio environment and edited for different vocal sounds. The Japanese databases are suggested for tempos from 50 to 170 BPM, with a recommended vocal range of E2 to F4. The English databases use the same tempo range, with a recommended range of G#2 to C4.

The E.V.E.C. (Enhanced Voice Expression Control) function lets you set voice color, breath length and intensity, and the emphasis of consonants at the end of a word. Cross Synthesis morphs between voice types, and Growl adds a roaring quality. Combined, these controls cover a wide range of vocal styles.

Choosing a Voice Bank for Your Track

The Japanese HARD bank is described as powerful, growing in strength as the pitch rises, and suited to sharp, precise phrases. The Japanese SOFT bank is described as soft and gentle, and is aimed at breathy ballad singing.
