01Overview

KAGAMINE RIN/LEN NT is built on a new singing voice engine and includes two characters, Rin and Len, each with two voice libraries. The Original+ libraries are described as bright and energetic, while the Whisper+ libraries are breathy and softer. Voice libraries and vocal expression

The product includes four voice libraries: Rin Original+, Rin Whisper+, Len Original+ and Len Whisper+. Crypton Future Media says the libraries were built with re-synthesis technology that analyzes transitions between consonants and vowels to keep pronunciation consistent.

Voice Color lets you set tone and dynamics for each phoneme, which the developer says supports a range of singing styles. Combined with Vocal Morphing, Voice Drive, Voice Voltage and Super Formant Shifter, the engine can produce wistful, robotic, rough or growl-style vocals.

Automatic Control and editing tools

Automatic Control uses a 3×3 matrix of singing style, nuance and vibrato settings to set pitch curves and tone. Options include Aggressive, Natural and Simple for style; Dynamic, Neutral and Virtual for nuance; and Rich, Natural or No vibrato. All automatic settings can be refined in the editor.

Direct Pitch Edit lets you draw pitch curves on the piano roll with the pencil tool. Note Gain adjusts volume per note, and Consonant Rate and Attack Speed Control shape the length and speed of enunciation.
