01Overview

MegaMorph is built to turn the plug-ins you already own into new sounds. Instead of adding another synth to your collection, you can layer several synthesizers, samplers and effects into a single Meta-Instrument. Rhythmic and melodic patterns can then move across the combined chain. Sync Audio positions MegaMorph as the successor to its MegaMod software, extending its modulation approach with an envelope-driven instrument and effects rack. The suite covers instrument building, effects modulation and pitch and time manipulation.

Layering Plug-ins into One Instrument

MegaMorph Instrument lets you combine multiple synthesizers and samplers, and layer third-party instruments and effects, into one instrument. Each instrument parameter can be modulated independently with MSEG envelopes, so different parts of a combined sound can move at different rates.

The instrument can also generate interlocking rhythmic and melodic patterns and randomly create new Meta-Instruments. This is useful when you want to explore combinations you would not build by hand.

Modulating Effects with MSEG Envelopes

MegaMorph FX offers a multi-segment envelope generator (MSEG), multiple independent envelope layers and tempo-synchronized modulation. It can host and chain third-party effects and run three parallel effects racks, so audio can pass through several paths at once.

You can modulate virtually any third-party plug-in parameter, which makes it possible to create rhythmic automation and evolving modulation curves across an effects chain.
