Fractiv: Granular Multi-Effect Plugin by Sync Audio

The Grain Pad is the centerpiece of Fractiv. It lets you adjust grain behavior directly and in real time, which makes granular processing more tactile than typical granular tools.

A modulation system is tied to each grain cycle. As grains grow, shrink and shift, linked effects and parameters evolve with them. Sync Audio describes this as producing organic movement and textures that traditional granular tools cannot easily achieve.

The plugin handles both subtle movement and extreme transformation, so the same tool can be used for musical processing or heavy sound design.

Fractiv works as an insert effect or as a sampler instrument, depending on how you use it. You can process existing audio or play sounds from the keyboard.

MIDI learn lets you map controls to hardware or software controllers. The included presets provide starting points for vocals, instruments, creature and vehicle sounds, and sci-fi atmospheres.

Sync Audio says the plugin was developed with working sound designers and producers from games, film and music, and that features were shaped by real production needs.
