LX122 Pro: Rotary Speaker Plugin by XILS Lab

The plugin models a stationary treble unit with a spinning horn and a stationary woofer with a spinning drum. Both rotating elements create Doppler-based vibrato, tremolo and chorus effects.

The emulation also includes the internal cabinet reflections that give the sound its mellow character. You can move the cabinet from a closed setup toward an open, air-moving configuration, changing how much those reflections contribute.

The room is modeled as well, since the developer notes that the combination of the cabinet and its room shapes the final effect.

Rotation can be stopped, switched between slow and fast modes, or transitioned between the two. The slow to fast mode buttons are MIDI controllable, so you can change the inertia from your controller.

The horn and drum speeds can be adjusted independently to suit your part. Reverb time and frequency response are adjustable, and three reverb types are available.

A high pass filter placed before the reverb reduces blurriness, and a drive parameter adds heavier distortion for rock tones. The recording microphone angle controls how much room sound is captured.
