01Overview

LoudBody is built around a single LOUD knob that sets how hard your audio is pushed. Its adaptive algorithm blends peak limiting with soft-clipping based on the material it receives, aiming to keep punch and clarity as the level rises. The plugin includes True Peak limiting, selectable oversampling up to 16x, integrated LUFS metering and an M/S mode for processing the mid and side channels separately. It is designed for producers working on individual tracks as well as final masters.

Limiting Character and Loudness Control

The LOUD knob handles the main loudness setting, and the developer says the adaptive engine balances peak limiting and soft-clipping in real time. The BODY knob sets the harmonic character, from gentle and transparent at 0% to more harmonic and aggressive at 100%.

BeatSkillz suggests starting BODY at 50% and adjusting by ear. The developer suggests roughly 60–80% for EDM and hip-hop, and 20–40% for mastering.

Metering, Ceiling and Streaming Masters

LoudBody includes EBU R128-compliant LUFS-I and True Peak dBTP metering, so you can watch integrated loudness while you adjust the LOUD knob. The ceiling can be set from 0 dB down to -3 dB, and the True Peak option is intended to prevent inter-sample peaks that cause distortion after lossy encoding.

The developer gives -14 LUFS for Spotify and -16 LUFS for Apple Music as example targets. The M/S mode and stereo link control let you keep stereo width while pushing level.
