lo•ki - Felt Piano: Intimate Virtual Piano for Kontakt

The main character of lo•ki is set by its controls. The Glow slider adds atmosphere, which the developer says can turn simple chords into evolving textures. Knobs for attack, release and dynamic range shape how each note starts, ends and responds to playing dynamics.

Tape, Mechanics and Ambience knobs add further colour, letting you move the sound from close and mechanical to more diffuse and recorded in a room. Nine colour presets give you starting points before you adjust the controls yourself.

lo•ki uses 5 velocity layers and 5 round robins, so repeated notes vary in tone and the response changes with how hard you play. The instrument was recorded at 3 microphone positions, which gives you more than one perspective on the piano within the same patch.

The library is large, at 5.7GB, so you will need enough free disk space before installing. The interface is kept lightweight and streamlined for quicker navigation.
