Sound Engine and Wavetables

Largo 2 uses three fat oscillators per voice, two of which include a sub oscillator. The oscillators cover classic waveforms and 68 wavetables drawn from the PPG and Waldorf Wave synthesizers, along with Q and Blofeld material.

Each sound can use up to four layers, with four stereo outputs available. The synth supports up to 256 voices of polyphony, plus mono, legato and unison modes.

Beyond wavetable and waveform synthesis, the oscillators offer noise, FM, hard sync and ring modulation.

Modulation, Filters and Arpeggiator

Modulation is handled by four fast envelopes with selectable types and loop modes, and three LFOs that sync to MIDI clock. LFO3 uses a 16-step drawable waveform. A 16-slot modulation matrix lets you route sources to destinations, and identical sources can be used more than once.

Each voice has two independent multimode filters with 12 and 24 dB low-pass, band-pass, high-pass and notch modes, plus comb and formant filter types. The formant filters let you morph the cutoff through the vowels a, e, i, o and u.

The 16-step arpeggiator lets you build custom patterns in addition to its standard functions.
