Cello Sound, Articulations and Mic Positions
The library contains 14 cello NKI patches covering arco, vibrato, sul ponticello, tremolo, glissando, accent, and pizzicato articulations. Each patch includes an extended-range version that stretches the pitch at the highest and lowest ranges.
The samples were recorded at Kinema Audio's Studio 1 using a signal chain of Flea, Coles and Neumann microphones into Neve preamps and Prism conversion. The cello is a vintage instrument made by Thomas Smith in 1765. All cello patches offer Center, Stereo and Room mic positions so you can shape the sense of space.
