KAYA Loyalty Upgrade from any UJAM product is a drum machine plugin from UJAM, built around West African-origin rhythms. The developer says it covers styles from afrobeat to amapiano, with drum patterns that reflect the interlocking rhythms of these genres. It is aimed at producers working on afro house or who want afrobeat rhythms to add texture to a wider project. The plugin is sold as a loyalty upgrade, so it is available to owners of UJAM products.
KAYA includes 10 drum kits with 16 instruments each. The sounds are described as authentic and ready to use, from smooth and laid-back to raw and energetic.
The library holds 20 styles with 23 beats each, for a total of 460 MIDI loops. These loops work as starting points for your own patterns, and they cover the rhythmic range of afrobeat and amapiano.
KAYA offers 12 mix modes to help you start a project quickly. A special control called Life is included for shaping the performance.
The plugin has 75 global presets and 17 ambience and reverb effects, so you can place drums in a space that suits your track.
