Hype is a drum machine plugin by UJAM aimed at producers making dance, EDM and pop tracks. The plugin focuses on big kicks, tight claps and bright cymbals for high-energy drops, buildups and choruses. Each kit is built for dance-oriented genres, and the included MIDI loops can be dragged into your DAW to layer with your own instruments or edit further.

Each title includes 12 mix presets designed to match the genre and vibe of a beat. A Riser Special Control is also included for building tension into a track. Individual drum sounds can be browsed, swapped and shaped in a sample grid covering kick, snare, hi-hat and other elements.
The intelligent browser lets you filter by mood, genre or BPM and preview kits and loops. A custom keyboard layout lets you assign loops and phrases to keys and trigger grooves in real time.

Hype is available as VST3, VST2, AU and AAX plugins. All formats are 64-bit only.
Hype runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11, and on macOS Catalina (10.15) through macOS Monterey (12.5). It is supported on Intel and Apple silicon Macs, and UJAM recommends at least 4 GB of RAM and 720 MB of free disk space.
Authorization uses an email address and password, entered within the plugin or the UJAM app. An internet connection is required.
Yes. UJAM recommends using an SSD to prevent dropouts if you move the .blob file to an external drive.
