Engine and Destruction Tools for Reshaping Audio
The Engine stage is the core of FLIP. It can grab any window of audio from 20 ms up to two seconds and play it forward, reversed, repeated, stuttered, skipped, held or frozen. Pitch can be shifted up or down 24 semitones independently of speed, and stutter divisions run from 1 to 16.
The Destroy stage offers five algorithms: CRUSH for bit and sample-rate reduction, FOLD for wavefolder distortion, SHIFT for frequency shifting, GLITCH for sample-and-hold stutter and RIP for cubic distortion. Only the selected algorithm runs, controlled by one Amount knob and one Mix knob.
