01Overview

Ensemble Woods Collection is a percussion instrument built for composers who want wood-based textures in their scores. The sounds were captured with six-player ensembles and include traditional and non-traditional wooden objects. The library is organized into kit presets and loop presets, with loops split into straight and triplet groups. Its controls are designed to let you shape the sound inside the interface, without opening a separate effects chain.

Percussive Wood Kits and Ensemble Sound

The collection contains 11 multi-sampled wood ensemble kits, presented as both menu and single kit presets. Each ensemble was captured with six players, so the kits combine several wooden instruments and objects in one patch. Heavyocity lists sources such as cajons, bamboo rods and struck acoustic guitars. Developer notes say each ensemble includes round-robin performances recorded at multiple velocities, which helps the hits sound less repetitive.

The library includes 48 Ensemble Kit Presets and 6 Multi Presets, so you can start with a full ensemble or a single kit depending on how much of the mix you want to fill.

Loops, Trigger FX and Loop Mutator

The loop section includes more than 460 loops, arranged in menu and single loop presets. The content is divided into straight and triplet loops, so you can match a loop to the tempo feel of your track. Loops are tempo-synced, and you can layer hybrid loops with kits or mix loop stems to build custom rhythms.

Loop Mutator lets you rearrange and adjust loops by slice in real time. Playable Trigger FX adds real-time control over the sound, and the Stage handles stereo placement.
