01Overview

Ensemble Drums Collection is part of Heavyocity's Master Sessions line, a set of scoring tools built on the Kontakt engine. It pairs seven multi-sampled drum ensembles with menu and single kit presets, plus more than 300 tempo-synced loops. Taikos, roto toms, field bass drums, concert bass drums and large containers make up the kits, which are shaped with global effects, per-drum EQ and the Punish and Twist controls.

Drum Kits and Loops for Massive Percussion

The collection's seven ensembles combine taikos, roto toms, field bass drums and snares, concert bass drums, floor toms and large containers. Each ensemble is presented as menu and single kit presets, and an additional 24 presets add a more aggressive edge.

The loop library contains more than 300 tempo-synced phrases, now divided into straight and triplet groups. You can layer full kits with hybrid loops or mix loop stems to build custom rhythms.

Workflow: Staging, Mutating and Shaping Sound

The Stage gives a visual, three-dimensional view of the stereo field, letting you place individual drums at any of 35 positions. The Mixer offers tune, pan and level control for three channels, with per-channel ADSR envelopes and solo and mute buttons.

The Loop Mutator lets you change step count, time signature, subdivision, slice selection and velocity, and it supports up to eight linkable patterns per preset with up to 128 steps.
