The core of Moon Muffin is a set of ten modeled pedals. They include the Triangle pi reference and standard boards, several Ram's Head versions (the 47nf, the white can and the 1975 variant), a Russian black version, a Triangle pi NYC reissue, an Acton Fuzz modeled on a Fuzzmaster without its boost section, a Japanese super sustainer called EL Sustain, and a J Creator rocking pedal volume and sustainer.

Kuassa says each model is built to capture the fatness, sustain and harmonic richness associated with its real-world counterpart. The range runs from smoother, warmer distortion to more aggressive saturation, so you can choose a flavor that suits the part you are working on.

Moon Muffin includes a dry/wet control for blending the processed signal with your original guitar tone. This is useful for keeping some of the direct signal's attack and definition under heavy fuzz. The plugin offers up to 8x oversampling, which the developer presents as a way to reduce aliasing and keep the processed sound clean.

The interface is a single screen, and the window is resizable. Moon Muffin is also available as a module within Kuassa's Amplifikation 360 setup, which is intended for users who want to run it alongside other guitar processing.
