Tonewheel organ sound and rotary cabinet
DB-33 centers on an AIR-proprietary vintage organ model meant to capture the character of tonewheel organs. The developer pairs it with an AIR-proprietary convolution rotary cabinet, which it describes as a more realistic take on the rotary speaker that organ players traditionally use to shape their tone.
The rotary cabinet can also be used on its own as an effect on an audio track. That makes it useful for processing sounds that are not organ parts, such as keys, guitars or vocals, if you want the moving-speaker color.
