DB-30 is organized as six effect modules that can be placed in the order you want. Boom adds low-end weight, and Shack layers noisy character onto snares and hi-hats. Shift bends frequency and formant, separately or together. Space adds reverb from small rooms to vintage hardware-style and other spaces, with controls for pan, width, decay and stretch.

The Compress and Saturate modules handle dynamics and distortion, with six modes each. Compress covers subtle glue as well as pumping effects, and Saturate ranges from gentle warmth to heavy distortion. A More module adds loudness and density, and a Master Section gives global control over the final character of the drums.
