Sound and Sampling of the Charango
Loot Audio sampled the instrument with 15 samples per note, covering a range of dynamics and round robins. The developer says it combined vintage and modern recording techniques, using several microphones and preamplifiers.
The developer describes the top end as sweet and harmonic-rich, with shimmer that suits melodic and rhythmic parts alike. Compared with the Ronroco, the charango version is described as offering more dynamic range across the instrument's full span.
