Drum Sounds and Controls

Boom Chak includes six editable percussion instruments: kick, snare, claps, toms (low, mid and high) and hi-hats (closed and open). The kick and snare each come in three types, and an FX voice is also available.

Each drum sound has dedicated controls for volume, type, pan, pitch, decay, modulation and the amount of added noise. Six effect switches let you apply processing to individual sounds or to all of them at once.

The master section adds a low-pass ladder filter with an envelope follower and LFO, a high-pass filter, global pitch control from -12 to +12 semitones, and velocity sensitivity.

Effects and Auto Rhythm Sequencer

The six onboard effects are Convolution Reverb, Replika Delay, Chorus, Lo-Fi, Flanger and Overdrive, which includes a second overdrive mode. Effects are quickly accessible and each one is editable.

The Auto Rhythm Editor provides 12 patterns, each with two 16-step sections. Patterns can be triggered from a key or with a mouse click, and the tempo syncs automatically to your DAW's master tempo.

The custom interface places many controls for sound parameters and effects in one view, which keeps shaping drum sounds and building patterns in a single place.
