01Overview

Ample Guitar Vintage Cherry is aimed at producers who need a rock guitar sound inside their DAW without recording a player. The instrument pairs sampled neck and bridge pickup libraries with a range of articulations, so parts can be written with palm mutes, slides, harmonics and legato. An integrated amp simulator and cabinet section let you shape the tone from clean to driven. The Riffer engine and strummer module handle the MIDI side, making it practical to sketch riffs, chords and full guitar tracks.

Sound, Articulations and Amp Tones

The instrument is built on a 5.6 GB library of a Gibson SG-style guitar, sampled from both the neck and bridge pickup positions. Nine articulations, including palm mute, legato, slides and harmonics, give MIDI parts a more playable character than a single sustained sample.

The built-in amp sim includes classic models from Marshall, Fender, Mesa/Boogie and Roland. Each cabinet offers eight microphone options, and room mic support adds ambience. Alternate tunings and capo logic are included for performances that need them.

The built-in effects chain covers an 8-band EQ, dual compressor, 6-tap echo and IR reverb with 3D visuals.

Riffer, Strumming and Guitar Pro Import

Riffer is the MIDI engine at the center of the workflow. It includes a Dice random generator for suggesting ideas and advanced MIDI editing tools for shaping parts. The strummer module offers 28 play styles per chord along with customizable strum patterns, which is useful for rhythm guitar and chord beds.

The Tab Player supports Guitar Pro formats, so existing tab files can be loaded and played back through the instrument. Audio can be exported from your DAW for use in the arrangement.

The instrument is a good fit for rock, blues and punk-style writing, where power chords, bluesy leads and gritty riffs are the core parts.
