Ample China Erhu is built from three erhus tuned in D, C and low G, giving the instrument a wide pitch range. The library includes 30 articulations spanning bowed, fingered, expressive and FX groups. Its legato system supports endless phrasing with customizable portamento, and five mic positions with stereo mix modes let you shape the tone. The sample set covers three erhus, so you can move between registers without leaving the instrument. Articulations cover bowed and fingered techniques as well as expressive effects such as tremolo, ricochet, trills and pizzicato.
The legato engine is designed for continuous phrasing. Portamento is adjustable, and the intelligent endless legato mode, along with three fingering modes, helps lines connect smoothly when you play them in a sequencer or on a keyboard.
Five mic positions and four stereo mix modes give you control over the room sound and stereo image, and a built-in EQ adds further shaping. The effects section includes an 8-band EQ, a dual compressor, a 6-tap echo and an IR reverb, so you can finish sounds inside the plugin.
For longer tones, the Loop sustain option holds notes, and polyphonic chord mode lets you play multiple notes at once. The library also includes improvised licks and a Mirroring effect for creative variations.
