01Overview

Stranger Serum Synths Vol. 1 is built around the nostalgic, atmospheric sound of 1980s analog synthesis, updated for modern productions. Resonance Sound says the presets aim to capture the charm of analog circuitry while keeping the clarity and fullness needed today. The pack covers a range of categories, from pads and leads to basses, plucks and soundscapes, and each preset is designed to work as a complete sound without extra layering or processing.

Analog Character Inside Serum 2

Resonance Sound says the patches mimic analog imperfections such as subtle drift, warm saturation and gentle instability. The developer describes the goal as combining these traits with the punch and clarity of Serum 2.

Each preset comes with eight custom macro controls and modwheel and velocity assignments, so you can shape the sound in performance without digging into the full synth architecture.

MIDI Ideas and Genre Uses

Every patch includes a melody or chord progression matched to its intended use. These MIDI ideas can be dragged directly into your DAW, and the pack includes 60 additional MIDI files and songstarters that match the presets.

Resonance Sound lists 80s-inspired soundtracks, retro scoring, chillout, lo-fi and ambient productions, melancholic pop, indie electronica and modern EDM as target genres.
