RAW GEMZ - Summer House Vol.1 for Serum 2 is a preset collection by Resonance Sound with 64 Xfer Serum 2 presets, 50 MIDI files and 50 WAV samples for house and dance production.
This Serum 2 preset pack covers the sounds typical of summer house and dance tracks: pianos, marimbas, kalimbas, steel drums, guitars, plucks, pads and basses. Resonance Sound lists 64 presets across several categories, from plucks and basses to pads and winds. The pack also includes 50 MIDI files and 50 WAV samples, so the sounds can be heard in a musical context and used as starting points for melodies and chords.
The presets are grouped into 6 basses, 1 chord, 4 guitars, 5 keys, 8 leads, 4 mallets, 6 pads, 19 plucks, 2 pianos, 7 synths and 2 winds. Plucks make up the largest group, which suits the rhythmic, melodic layers common in house production.
Resonance Sound describes many of the sounds as sample-inspired, aiming for an organic, human feel while keeping the flexibility of Serum 2's synthesis.
Alongside the presets, the pack includes 50 MIDI files and 50 WAV samples. The developer states that each preset includes embedded clip examples that can be dragged into a DAW, showing the musical context each sound was made for.
The MIDI files and samples can be used to sketch a track quickly, with melodies, chords and sounds meant to work together.
