Robotic Bean recorded the sounds from several Buchla systems: a 1970s Buchla 200 system at Elektronmusikstudion EMS in Stockholm, a smaller 1970s Buchla 200 system, a 1960s Buchla 100 system replica, and a modern Buchla Music Easel with a 208c sound module and LEM218v3 keyboard. Supplementary recordings come from a Buchla/TipTop Audio 200t system.

Because the material is captured from hardware rather than generated from scratch, the presets aim to keep the rich, recorded textures of the original instruments.
