Portatron Preset Pack: Beta - Retrowave Melodics Vol.1: Synth Loops for Portatron

The pack covers a broad range of loop types, including bass, arpeggios, leads, pads and sound effects. Robotic Bean describes the sequenced phrases and mellow chords as having the lo-fi feel of the 80s, with pads that hover in the background.

Because the loops are grouped by role, you can build a track from the bottom up, starting with a bass line and adding arps, leads or pads as needed. The melodic and ambient passages are meant to be layered or used alone, which suits both full arrangements and sparse, moody sections.

Retrowave Melodics Vol.1 is organized as three construction kits, each holding four cassettes. This structure makes it easier to find a loop that fits the section you are writing.

The loops come in a wide variety of tempos and keys, so you can match them to your project without heavy time-stretching or transposition. The pack is designed for Portatron, so it is best suited to producers who already use that instrument.
