The developer says the material draws on modular synthesizers, guitar pedals and analog synths. That mix points to a broad palette of textures rather than a single sound source, which can help when a scene calls for something warm, unsettling or unresolved.

Because the loops are not tied to a tempo, they can be placed under material at any speed. You can layer them under a rhythm section or let them carry a passage on their own.

The bundle is organized as 31 cassettes containing more than 100 loops in total. Working through the cassettes gives you a range of starting points for a cue, from which you can pick the loops that suit the mood of a scene.

The pack also offers a wide variety of keys and scales. Having material in different tonal centers makes it easier to match a texture to the harmony of an existing track without transposing it yourself.

The pack requires Portatron, so it is best suited to producers who already work with that instrument or are ready to add it to their setup.
