The Tone Foundry has released this bundle to mark six years of Kilohearts Phase Plant. It gathers four Phase Plant expansions that were previously sold separately: Jungle Classics, Anthemic House & Garage, Ambient Realms and Tech House Pressure. Each pack targets a different style, so producers working across several electronic genres can cover them from one purchase. The bundle requires the latest version of Phase Plant.

03In depth

What the Four Preset Packs Cover

Jungle Classics is built around 90s jungle, with warm chords, rolling sub basses, heavy bass and gritty, lo-fi percussion. The developer says its sounds draw on 90s hardware such as the JV-1080 and Emu sound modules.

Anthemic House & Garage focuses on bass, leads, pads and synth sounds for house and garage, and includes 50 bonus WAV files. Ambient Realms is aimed at ambient and lo-fi work, with atmospheric textures, pads and dark drones.

Tech House Pressure contains 50 presets for heavier tech house, including basslines, leads, plucks and pads designed to sit in a mix.

Who the Bundle Suits

The bundle suits producers who make several styles of dance music and want starting points across genres without buying each pack separately. Because the presets are made for Phase Plant, they are best used by people who already work in that synth and want to shape the sounds further.

The developer says the tech house presets give a solid starting point that you can tweak to fit your tracks. Each pack is a set of presets rather than a standalone synth, so the bundle adds sounds to Phase Plant rather than replacing it.
