Massive Expansion: Neon City Synthwave is a preset pack of 70 synth patches for Native Instruments Massive, covering basses, leads, keys, pads and effects in a retro synthwave style. It is developed by The Tone Foundry.
Neon City Synthwave is a preset expansion from The Tone Foundry built for Native Instruments Massive. The pack contains 70 presets organized across bass, lead, keys, pad, sequence, synth, pluck, bell, brass, organ and FX categories. The developer describes the sounds as inspired by synthwave artists such as Com Truise, Carpenter Brut, Lazerhawk and Perturbator, with a focus on 1980s-style textures and atmospheres.
The pack's 70 presets are weighted toward bass and lead sounds, with 13 basses and 10 leads, followed by 11 pads, 11 synths and 9 sequences. Smaller groups include 5 keys, 5 FX, 2 bells, 2 plucks, 1 brass and 1 organ.
The pack also includes 50 bonus WAV files, which can be used alongside the presets. The developer notes that the pack was expanded from an initial 60 presets to 70 in a later update.
The presets require the latest version of Native Instruments Massive. They are not compatible with Massive X, so check your version before buying.
A trial is available, so you can audition the sounds in your own session before committing. The demo track shown with the pack uses drum loops and vocals that are not included in the download.
